Broadening Our Discipleship Reach
Discipling children has always been central to our mission at Arrows + Hope. Our leadership team in Uganda recently evaluated our discipleship programs which take place in various locations – in the village, at our ministry center, at school, and during center days. We’ve seen great success in nurturing the spiritual growth of children in these settings!

During this evaluation, however, a significant challenge emerged: Many children’s caregivers either don’t know Christ or lack a clear understanding of the Bible. This means that when many children return home from school for holidays, their spiritual development lacks continued encouragement and support.
To address this need, we’re excited to launch Home Cell Fellowships for caregivers and their neighbors! These weekly gatherings will provide a space for spiritual growth and community. We’ll identify common ground or suitable homes within communities to host these important weekly gatherings.
The exciting news is we recently witnessed God orchestrate the very first Home Cell Fellowship! It all began after digging a well in Omalara, which opened doors to helping Emmanuel – a stepfather to sponsored children – who was very sick. This led to him receiving Christ as his Savior. We gave him an audio Bible, and soon several more people in the village also gave their lives to Christ. This led to a community of people gathering regularly to be discipled by the Arrows + Hope Discipleship Coordinator. And just like that, our very first Home Cell Fellowship was born.

The day we met Emmanuel vs six months later! Notice the audio Bible in both pictures!

Pray these Home Cell Fellowship groups are used to point more people to Hope in Jesus and a better understanding of their identity in Christ!
A New Beginning for Esther and Progress for Joshua
During some recent home visits, the team in Uganda had the privilege of sharing God’s word, praying, and encouraging caregivers. We’re thrilled to share that Esther, a relative of Joshua, accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior after hearing the message! We give all glory to God for this incredible transformation in her life. Please join us in praying for Esther and all new believers in this community!

Joshua is making progress. The wounds have healed, and he can now sit in a chair! While he still has some apprehension about standing on his leg, this is a big step. We’re encouraged by his progress and continue to pray for his full recovery and confidence.
Update on Peter
Peter, who was recently paralyzed after falling from a mango tree, has returned home and is being cared for by his aunt, his primary caregiver. Despite the immense challenges he faces, Peter continues to smile!

Peter has a strong desire to go to school, and we are currently assessing his situation to determine how Arrows + Hope can best support his ongoing physical therapy and education. This is a very difficult situation, and we ask for your prayers as we seek the best path forward for Peter.
In Loving Memory of Dorcas
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Dorcas, a beloved sponsored child, who recently passed away due to respiratory failure. This unexpected loss has deeply saddened all of us at Arrows + Hope. We ask for your prayers for the children of Arrows + Hope, who are heartbroken by the loss of their friend, and especially for Dorcas’s grandmother, the primary caregiver of Dorcas, who is grieving the loss of her grandchild. May God’s comfort and peace surround them during this incredibly difficult time.
