“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
– Lamentations 3:22-23
As we step into this new year, we are reminded that God’s mercies are not just a one-time gift, but a daily promise. For the children and families we serve in Uganda, this “newness” represents a fresh start, a chance to move from survival to hope, and from fear to a future.

Focusing on the Most Vulnerable
At Arrows + Hope, our mission remains fixed on the “arrows” in our care: the orphaned and vulnerable children who are often overlooked.
In the slums of Entebbe and the villages of Soroti, it is our goal to identify children in the most desperate circumstances. The children who need more than just a school uniform; the ones who need to know they are loved by Jesus. This year, we are deepening our commitment to:
- Targeted Outreach: Working with children who have lost one or both parents and are living in extreme poverty.
- Educational Scholarships: Removing the barriers that keep vulnerable children and children with disabilities out of the classroom.
- Holistic Care: Ensuring every child has the medical support and nutrition they need to grow.
Discipleship: The Heart of Arrows + Hope
Education opens doors, but discipleship transforms hearts. We believe that true, lasting change happens when a child understands their identity in Christ.

Our Ugandan team continues to walk alongside each child. Through home visits, Bible studies, and counseling, we are pointing every “arrow” back to the hope of Christ, teaching them to live out their faith with boldness and hope.
The Arrows + Hope Vision in Action
Our “Big Vision” is to see communities transformed as Arrows + Hope kids live out their faith and hope in Jesus. We are so excited to see this happening firsthand!
Recently, Joshua, a sponsored child with Down Syndrome, suffered his second broken leg. His previous recovery was very difficult due to his living conditions, so this time, doctors recommended a better environment for him to heal without a high risk of infection.
Three of our older Arrows + Hope youth stepped up and used their gifts to build a room within our Ministry Center garage. This space allows Joshua and his mother to stay close to Bethesda Hospital and also receive encouragement from our team. We praise God for the growth and maturity we see in our youth as they lead by helping others!

Empowering Caregivers: Spiritual Leaders and Providers
Our hope and desire is to see caregivers not only provide for their children’s physical needs, but to grow in their own faith in order to become the spiritual leaders of their households.

We are so excited about the four Home Cell Fellowship Groups that have formed organically among our caregivers! These groups were born out of their own desire to gather, pray, and dive deeper into the Word of God. To support this growth, our Discipleship Coordinator is walking alongside these groups, providing guidance and mentorship as they study Scripture together. We believe this is just the beginning of what the Lord has in store for the community of Omalara!
A Christmas Meal: 120 Families Blessed!
We are filled with gratitude as we look back on our Christmas Meal Blessing outreach! Because of your generosity, we were able to provide Christmas meal packages to all 120 Arrows + Hope families, and – more importantly – share the Gospel message with each of them!
Each package included special items like chicken and soda, treats that many of these families rarely, if ever, get to enjoy. To see the joy on the faces of the children and their caregivers was beautiful. Thank you for showing these families they are seen, loved, and remembered during the Christmas season.

Thank you for being part of the Arrows + Hope family. Together, we are seeing lives and communities transformed!
